Catalina’s bustling town of Avalon celebrates its 100th anniversary! To mark the occasion, Catalina Express is extending its “Free Ride on Your Birthday” promotion until April 30, 2014. That means you can travel round trip to the island free of charge, as long as you depart on your actual birth date. You may return any time within 30 days. You must pre-register online prior to your birth date to take advantage of this promotion. Once you have pre-registered and received email confirmation, book reservations online or by calling Catalina Express at 800-995-4386.

Catalina Express has a fleet of eight high-speed vessels which carry passengers between the mainland and Catalina. The trip takes about an hour and boats depart from Long Beach, San Pedro and Dana Point to Avalon and Two Harbors. Each vessel offers inside and outside seating, bar/food service and wheelchair access.
