Catalina Express: Ride to Catalina for Free on your Birthday

Catalina Express celebrates 30 years of service

Catalina Express celebrates 30 years of service by giving a free round-trip pass to anyone who would like to visit Catalina on their birthday - a savings of up to $71.50. Now, that’s a nice present! Travel must begin on your actual birth date, but you may stay on the island up to 30 days.

To take advantage of the offer, register online with Catalina Express. You’ll receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to download and print the free pass, which includes a birthday promotion code. Enter the code when making reservations online or mention the code if securing reservations over the phone at 800-995-4386. Proof of your birth date and a valid photo ID must be presented when picking up tickets. Boats depart from Long Beach, San Pedro and Dana Point on the mainland and arrive at Avalon or Two Harbors on Catalina Island. The offer is good through April 30, 2012.

Catalina Express has carried over 22 million passengers between the mainland and Catalina over the past 30 years. Its current fleet of eight high-speed vessels ferries guests to Catalina in about an hour, with up to 30 departures daily, year round.
