San Francisco: GoCar Tours – Look Who’s Talking

Throw away the map and guidebook and tour San Francisco in a self-navigating talking car. GoCar Tours will have you zipping around town in a bright yellow-colored vehicle, traveling at your own pace and on your own schedule. The three-wheeled, two-passenger cars look like a combination motorcycle and golf cart and feature a GPS driven audio tour. The navigation system will usher you through the streets of San Francisco to dozens of famous landmarks, providing point-to-point directions and descriptive narration as you drive.

GoCar Tours feature a variety of sightseeing tours in San Francisco, lasting from 1 hour to over 5 hours. Visitors can expect to take in over 50 historical points and places of interest such as Fisherman’s Wharf, Golden Gate Park, The Presidio and Lombard Street. The “Downtown San Francisco” tour is the shortest excursion and winds through the city’s older neighborhoods like North Beach, Chinatown and Union Square. The “Urban Parks” tour is the most popular, soaking in panoramic views of the city along a parkland route. No matter which tour you choose, you’ll have a fun, unique experience exploring San Francisco in these little yellow convertibles.

GoCar Tours has three San Francisco locations: Fisherman’s Wharf West, Fisherman’s Wharf East and Union Square. Current Rental Prices are $49 1st hour, $39 2nd hour, $29 each additional hour up to 5 hours. No further charge after 5 hours. Visitors to Southern California can find GoCar Tours in San Diego.

  10. That does sound fun...
It's nice to read about something I hadn't heard about before going on in my home state. I grew up in Modesto and visited SF many times. I even lived there a couple of summers while in college.
I'm not much of a city person, but San Francisco is one I like.
Thanks for coming by, and happy first MYM!
