Santa Barbara: California Wine Festival – Vino Time!



The 7th Annual California Wine Festival returns to Santa Barbara July 15-17, 2010 and promises to be the “quintessential wine tasting experience”. The 3-day event features three different venues and three distinct themes:

Thursday, July 15: Old Spanish Nights – Tapas and Wine Tasting
It’s an evening teaming with Spanish attitude. Wines from Spain will be featured along with Santa Barbara’s finest local wines. Traditional tapas, Spanish musicians and flamenco dancing boost the Fiesta spirit tonight. Be entered in a drawing for a $250 case of wine when you wear your Spanish costume to this jubilant event.
Time: 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. / Location: De La Guerra Adobe Courtyard
Cost: $49 advance, $55 at the door. Limited to 500.

Friday, July 16: Sunset Rare & Reserve Wine Tasting
The evening begins with a champagne reception under the stars and continues with a tasting tour of rare and reserve level California vintage wines. Gourmet appetizers from top local chefs will be offered along with artisan cheeses and fresh strawberries dipped in a chocolate fountain. Live jazz music rounds out the exquisite evening.
Time: 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. / Location: Chase Palm Park Plaza (at the carousel)
Cost: $99 advance, $125 at the door. Limited to 500.

Saturday, July 17: Beachside Wine Festival
Every wine region in the state will be featured at today’s lively event, over 350 wines in all. Enjoy unlimited wine tasting, food sampling from renowned chefs and spirited live music against the backdrop of a spectacular oceanfront setting. Topping out the festivities is a raffle where lucky wine connoisseurs can win exotic wines and wine-related goodies.
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. / Location: Chase Palm Park Oceanside
Cost: $65 advance, $75 at the gate. Limited to 3,000.

  1. We lived in Santa Barbara for 6 years back in the 70's. My youngest daughter was born at Cottage Hospital.

    Looking forward to a mother daughter weekend soon in S.B.
