Monday, Sept. 20 San Diego – Restaurant Week

Tuesday, Sept. 21 Santa Monica – Neil Sedaka Book Signing
Singer and songwriter Neil Sedaka has topped the charts for six decades with hits like "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do" and "Love Will Keep Us Together." He'll be signing his first children's book and album, Waking Up Is Hard to Do. Barnes & Noble, 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 22 Bakersfield - Kern County Fair
Opening day at the Kern County Fair. Come enjoy carnival rides, food booths, animal exhibits, contests, entertainment, concerts and more. Fairgoers receive free admission today from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Kern County Fairgrounds through Oct. 3.

Thursday, Sept. 23 Monterey – Paws For A Cause
Paws for a Cause invites you to bring your dog and dine in the Fireplace Lounge Patio at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 15% of food and beverage sales will be donated to the SPCA. Adoptable dogs will be there, too!

Friday, Sept. 24 Santa Barbara – West Beach Music Festival
Rock, reggae, and jam bands will perform on three stages at the West Beach Music & Arts Festival – the only one of its kind held beachside. Over 40 artists including UB40, and more than 75 arts, crafts and food vendors. Chase Palm Park, Sept. 24 & 25.

Saturday, Sept. 25 San Francisco – Dragon Boat Festival
It’s a weekend of world-class dragon boat racing, spectacular cultural performances, and fun-filled activities for the whole family at the largest competitive dragon boat festival in the United States. Over 110 dragon boat teams. Admission is free. Treasure Island, Sept. 25 & 26.

Sunday, September 26 Los Angeles - Sid the Science Kid Day
Free event for kids to explore, investigate and discover with Sid the Science Kid from the award-winning PBS KIDS TV series. California Science Center, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
