Oakland: Bicycles Exhibition - Oakland International Airport

With the Labor Day weekend upon us, many travelers will scurry through airports on their way in and out of town. If your flight plans include Oakland International Airport, you still have time to visit Bicycles, an exhibition from the Oakland Museum of California. The 2-wheel exhibit focuses on Northern California bike culture, especially in Oakland and the East Bay. Visitors can view a diverse and wide array of bicycles from OMCA’s collection and local frame builders. Bike-related clothing, accessories and ephemera are also highlighted, giving you a glimpse of California’s bike history and trends. Don’t mingle too long admiring the bikes – they’re not for rent if you should miss your flight!

The Bicycles exhibit can be found in Terminal 1, the Connecting Walkway, and Terminal 2 of the Oakland International Airport through September 10, 2010.
