Squaw Valley: Ski Free – Free Lift Ticket for Flyers

Record snowfall isn’t the only reason for skiers to hop on a flight to the Lake Tahoe area this winter. The Squaw Valley USA ski resort has an unbeatable offer for anyone traveling to the area by plane. Ski or snowboard for free! Just present your same-day boarding pass, printed itinerary or baggage claim check from any commercial airline along with matching photo I.D. to the Squaw Valley’s Season Pass Office or Special Tickets Office to receive a complimentary lift ticket good for the rest of the day. The half-day tickets are valid from 1pm until 7pm mid-week or 1pm until 9pm Fridays & Saturdays, while night operations are in progress. Tickets normally cost $67, so it’s a significant savings!

Squaw Valley USA is located off Highway 89, between Truckee and Tahoe City, on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Although the Reno/Tahoe airport (42 miles) is the closest to Squaw Valley, the free lift ticket offer applies to any commercial airport. Sacramento Airport (96 miles) and even the three San Francisco Bay Area airports offer convenient morning flights that, when added to drive time, make it possible to ski the slopes the same day. The ski-free offer is valid throughout the 2010/11 season and there are no blackout dates, so start booking those flights and enjoy an afternoon or night of skiing!
