Children ages 3 to 11 get free admission to the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Safari Park when accompanied by an adult during the month of October. All month long there will be special children’s activities, animal encounters, keeper talks, and the opportunity for kids to meet their favorite costumed characters. Normal children’s ticket price is $30, so bring the family and save a bundle.
The San Diego Zoo is located at 2920 Zoo Drive in Balboa Park, just north of downtown San Diego. The Safari Park is located about 35 miles north of San Diego at 15500 San Pasqual Valley Road in Escondido. Both parks are open daily from 9am to 5pm.
