San Francisco: Macy’s SPCA Holiday Windows – Adopt a Pet

Macy's Holiday Windows (SF SPCA)

Make your way to Macy’s in San Francisco’s Union Square this holiday season for a most unique shopping experience – window shopping, that is. In what has become an annual event, Macy’s Holiday Windows feature adoptable animals from the San Francisco SPCA in its decorative window displays. From now until January 1, 2012 you can see adorable cats and dogs lounging and playing, hoping to win hearts and get a second chance at finding a loving home. The animals on display change daily, allowing a variety of would-be pets to be spotlighted. SPCA volunteers will be at Macy’s to greet visitors, answer questions and assist with the adoption process. Last year nearly 300 animals featured in Macy’s Holiday Windows found new homes and more than $70,000 was raised for the SF SPCA.

The cats and dogs will be in Macy's windows seven days a week, except for Christmas. A schedule of hours is located here. You may also view streaming video of the animals throughout the holiday season.

Macy’s Union Square is located at 170 O’Farrell Street in San Francisco.
