Laguna Beach: First Thursdays Art Walk

“About Laguna” by California artist N.C. Swan (Artist Eye Laguna Gallery)

Laguna Beach, one of the most picturesque seaside destinations in all of California, offers visitors a chance to explore the arts with its First Thursdays Art Walk. Held on the first Thursday of each month from 6-9pm, the free event features exhibition openings, artist demonstrations, music, dance, and refreshments. Nearly 40 galleries dusting a 1.5 mile stretch of Pacific Coast Highway participate in the cultural event. A free shuttle service operates from 6-9pm, with tram stops at convenient gallery locations.

Tip: Arrive early for best parking and a chance to speak with artists before the crowds arrive.

Laguna Beach sits midway between Los Angeles and San Diego. It has long been a mecca for world-class artists, art galleries and art festivals. The quaint, walkable village is also home to eclectic shopping, superior dining, 5-star hotels, pristine beaches and an abundance of outdoor activities.

First Thursdays Art Walk is funded by member galleries, lodging establishments, and the City of Laguna Beach. For more information, call (949) 683-6871.
